What is LS

LetterSpel (or LS for short) is designed to collect words with the same charachters (e.g. "sch" or "oo") without effort. The list with character combinations to trigger can be customized on the "Config" page. When adding words, their spelling is verified using the "LetterSpel.wrd" list. This file contains the full Dutch dictionary for starters (178429 entries). The US English word list can be downloaded here. The file contained in this archive is to replace "LetterSpel.wrd".

LS is freeware.

 System requirements

LS wil run on any Win32 based system, except for Windows 3.x with the Win32s Subsystem installed. LS was tested on Windows 95, 98 and XP.

For LS to run smoothly, 1 to 3 MB of free RAM is required to operate. A minimum installation consists of a Pentium 90 PC with 48MB RAM and Windows 95, but - as is with allmost all software - faster hardware results in better performance.
